SkyCity Adelaide magnificent views across the riverbank

Award Winning ‘EOS’ by SkyCity

Adelaide – South Australia

EOS by SkyCity Adelaide has been developed with understated opulence and pure luxury in mind. The award-winning pool and spa are a key component of the sumptuous offering for guests. The leisure deck offers guests some of the most magnificent views across the River Torrens to the Adelaide Oval, views that are equally stunning day or night.

The pool and spa structure are box and pour construction, made more demanding due to the elevated and exposed location of the pool and its irregular shape. One of the most challenging aspects of its construction was due to the building’s transfer beams encasing the pool and spa. This caused limitations in the number of penetrations possible for lighting conduits and reticulation purposes.

The modest-sized water treatment plant room is located on the same level as the pool, unlike other multistory builds. The plant room is, however, situated a significant distance away from the completed aquatics structures. To safeguard the quality of works on this level all associated pipe works and structures were modelled in 3D, ensuring there was no clash with other trades and services.
