Construction Assistant
Our small but highly skilled and experienced team is now looking for a Construction Assistant to join us and help us achieve growth and innovation in the industry.
The person we are looking for has experience as a form worker, steel fixer or concreter. You will enjoy variety in your work and some local and interstate travel. Have the ability to read and understand architectural and engineering plans and have an eye for details. You’ll be ambitious and motivated, further developing your technical skills and experience in the aquatics industry, supported by us to fulfil leadership roles in the future.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Assist in construction and renovation of commercial pool structures, recreational aquatic facilities and water treatment systems;
- Assist in the finishing and renovating of pool surfaces including applying vinyl liners, rendering & tiling. Collaborating with and assisting other finishing trades as required;
- Help to maintain clean and safe worksites, removing hazardous or obsolete material;
- Support the Construction Manager to oversee site works, ensuring compliance to WHS & Quality systems;
- Fitting commercial grade pool accessories and stainless steel fixtures;
- Support ongoing education and growth by leading and participating in training and development programs.
Required Skills:
- Drivers Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Experience as a form worker, steel fixer or concreter,
- Ability to read Architectural and Engineering plans
- Have attention to detail
- Be well presented, motivated, ambitious and physically fit
- Have outstanding customer service skills
