Lap Pool – Adelaide, South Australia

Perched on level 7 of the West Franklin Residential development in Adelaide’s CBD sits the city’s first sky pool with underwater windows. With views that sweep over the western parklands towards the coast, the pool is striking and unique.  The lap pool’s turquoise mosaic tiles are a breathtaking contrast to the edgy urban architectural design of the building. The 25-meter pool features four individual 3m x 1m acrylic windows on the street-facing facade.

Our team worked tirelessly on the project to ensure the challenges of the pool windows, made from 50mm thick acrylic, was executed with the utmost care and attention to detail. Drones were utilised for the first time by our company to carefully check the windows externally, once the pool was filled.

The challenging build and outstanding execution of the underwater windows were recognised by the Swimming Pool and Spa Association and achieved the following result:
